Ditta Rohmann is currently a PhD student at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest. She performs as a solo artist, as a chamber musician, and as guest performer in the Chamber Orchestra of Europe while she is teaching at the University of Debrecen from the fall semester of 2009. She has finished her studies with honors in Budapest as a student of Miklós Perényi, and in Basel as a student of Ivan Monighetti. Earlier she studied in Boston at the New England Conservatory where her teacher was Suren Bagratuni. Her repertory includes pieces from the Baroque period to contemporary works. As a chambermusician she has been awarded several prizes at international and Hungarian competitions, she received special prize at the Premio Trio di Trieste and at the Orpheus Festival Zürich. She gives concerts from her teens all around Europe. She performed with musical formations such as the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the Mendelssohn and the Ferenc Liszt Chamber Orchestra. She has played together with the Keller Quartet as a guest in several cities of Europe. She is a committed devote of familiarizing contemporary repertory with the audience, she has a continuous work relationship with Hungarian and international composers. As a recognition of her work in contemporary music she has been rewarded the Aristjus prize.
