Mihály Borbély has already been awarded by the Gábor Szabó, Liszt and Kossuth prize. Hemay be performing in an authentic folk band, in a jazz formation or as a soloist of contemporary productions, his compositions are performed by prestigious chamber orchestras and symphonic orchestras. This time he shows his talent as the leader of a small trio – energies of the Carpathian Basin and the Balkan region can be brought to the focus together. In his trio formation named Old & New Groovesmusicians from three different generations meet. Accompanying the good old musician, András Dés, being one of the most excellent percussionist of themiddle generation,mesmerizes the audience with hismulti-colored, sometimes energetic, at other times fine and subtle performing style and a brilliant young talent, Tibor Fonay plays the bass and the bass guitar. It is a special event of chamber jazz not to be missed by any music lover!
